In August, techUK launched a guide for councillors on how the technologies of today and tomorrow can re-imagine public services to create the “council of the future”.
It’s aimed at councillors who are either newly elected or those who want to improve productivity within their constituency through the adoption of digital tools. As well as advice on how technology can improve a council, it also provides questions for councillors to ask their IT team.
For any company that works with local government, this is a useful guide to see what kind of problems are facing councils and how techUK (the largest trade association for digital businesses in the UK) is challenging them to change.
