It’s been running for nearly six years but it's only now really starting to get some traction that cyber security (and more specifically data breaches) has shot up the list of things companies care about since GDPR.

In short, European Cyber Security Month (ECSM) is an EU awareness campaign that promotes cyber security among citizens and organisations about the importance of information security. It highlights the simple steps that can be taken to protect their data, whether personal, financial or professional.

Their main goal is (every October) to raise awareness, change behaviour and provide resources on how people can protect themselves online.

If your company is planning on running a cyber-security related activity soon, you can register the event here – aside from reaching a wider audience, it probably will be great for your SEO as there will be a link back to your website from an official .eu domain!

Stay tuned to the 4D blog for part 2 of the October Digital Report, coming soon.
