Just halfway through 2018, 4D has been chosen winner for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility at the renowned Datacloud Europe awards.

With a panel of 21 independent judges, The Datacloud Awards is the defining accolade for the data centre industry. In its 11th year of running, 4D are happy to announce winning Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at the ceremony in Monaco last week.

The ‘Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility’ award takes into account the provider’s impact on local community, improving diversity and skills, dedication to green efficiency and any other special initiatives taken to set itself apart from its peers.

On top of this award, 4D was also shortlisted for two other categories at the awards- ‘Excellence in Data Centre Service Award with Local Impact’, and ‘Excellence in Cloud Service Award with Local Impact’.

4D’s Managing Director, Jack Bedell-Pearce, commented: “4D Data Centres was shortlisted for three awards - two of which were the most hotly contested of all the categories (data centre excellence and cloud excellence). While we didn’t win these two, we did win an award for our Corporate Social Responsibility! We won this for our work in promoting diversity within the tech sector, working with UK universities, colleges and schools to improve their technical curriculums, supporting local charities and sporting organisations (including Old Reigatian Rugby Minis, which we sponsor). As always, while I get the glory of picking up the award, I stand on the shoulders of giants, and would like to thank the amazing team that is 4D Data Centres. I am very lucky to work with such a great bunch of people.”
