What are the Data Centre Awards?
Now in its second year, the Data Centre Awards aim to reward businesses across the sector for innovative and leading achievements across various categories. They are focused on critical industry objectives and represent the highest standard of relevance and recognition.
The awards ceremony took place at Data Centre World on March 2 this year, which has long been the venue for displaying and exhibiting the best the industry provides, whether it is service systems or products.

Why we won the award
The award was given to 4D in light of how we continued to deliver our SLAs without affecting resilience or performance, even while changing the way we worked throughout the pandemic. 82% of customers rate us as Good or Very Good at handling our crisis comms, including how we kept people updated during the lockdowns. Judges highlighted these effective communication methods, where keeping staff and clients safe became a priority and uptime or 24/7 access was undisrupted.
Our most recent customer survey found that 92% of customers rate our support team as Good or Very Good at handling ticket submissions and remote hands requests, demonstrating how reliable our customers consider us at helping maintain their systems.
We also worked at an industry-wide level to ensure we could continue to support our customers. Working closely with other UK data centres and techUK, our CEO Jack chaired a committee which co-ordinated with the Government to demonstrate how essential data centres are and got us onto the critical infrastructure list, protecting our services and our customers throughout the pandemic.
