Could I be a Reseller?

If you're already a colocation reseller, you may want to skip the next few paragraphs and jump to here.

Still reading? Great. You probably haven’t resold colocation space before and may not be sure whether you want to be a referrer or a reseller.

The main difference between the two is that a referrer simply passes us a prospective sales lead and we do all the hard work. If your lead ends up buying colocation space from us, we pay you a finders-fee commission. Simple.

A reseller on the other hand acts as the intermediary both during the sales process and afterwards. The reseller buys rack space direct from 4D then uses their existing client base and technical experience to resell that space to their own clients. While there are some dedicated resellers of colocation space out there, the majority of our resellers will naturally fall into one of the following categories:

Pick up the phone and give us a call. Feeling a bit shy? Send us an email instead to reseller@4d-dc.com. We’ll post you a welcome pack which outlines all our products and services and explains how you can integrate the parts you want into your own business.  Think of it as Colocation Pick ‘n Mix.

A dedicated account manager will then get ball rolling by inviting you to our data centre for a tour and discussion about how our two companies can most efficiently work together. We will give you a formal Reseller rate card which outlines the prices of all our products and services. Our Reseller pricing structure is surprisingly simple. The more rackspace and services you buy from us, the greater the discount.

Your dedicated 4D account manager can work with your sales team to help them better understand what colocation is and why it may benefit your clients. We can even provide you with different levels of white-labelled marketing material so you don’t have to re-invent the wheel when it comes to reselling our rack space.

What about Client Management and Support?

As a Reseller you’ll get access to our most senior technical engineers who can help you work out the best solution for you and your clients right from the start. Got a tricky sales related question or a bespoke requirement? No problem, our experienced sales team will be able to turn around the answers and quotes in no time.

Resellers even get their own dedicated portal for managing their clients’ contact details, products and services. And you’ll be pleased to hear that both our Resellers and their end users still get access to our on-site technical team who are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
